This photograph was taken during the A-Level chemistry practical examination in 1959 by our chemistry master, Mr E Morgan. The pupils shown from left to right are Charles Tyrie and Keith Halstead.

Interestingly, the racks of reagents, which are set out on the benches contain bottles of concentrated hydrochloric, nitric, and sulphuric acid. For safety reasons when not in use during non-practical lessons, these were placed on shelves around the room.
